Living Life...

Going forward, it is always good to look back and reflect. Past events and personal experiences, taken in the right context are valuable lessons for the future. To be able to learn from the experiences and mistakes of others would be a step further, a notch higher. However turning bad experiences to valuable lessons can be painful. People would probably be more inclined to consciously forget what doesn't make them happy. Don't look back, some would say. It is amazing what selective memory can do for us. Painful memories leave scars that last for a very long time, some of which never heal. It is not easy to forgive and forget, but those that do will certainly lead a more fulfilling life. It should not be to forget though, rather it should be to extract the relevant lessons from painful experiences and moving on with life. This certainly need focus, among other "things". It must be a skill. And it is most probably not a skill we would learn in advance rather than one acquired through personal experience. This is what I would call experiential learning!

Life can be very beautiful, only if we can be optimistic and positive even in challenging times and circumstances. After all, what life is for if it is not for us to face challenges and overcome obstacles? Human beings is such a special and unique creature in that they are full of potential. Tapping the potential therefore is the key unfortunately it is not a straight forward thing to do - there is no magic formulae. This is probably where most people fail. Fortunately we don't have to be perfect. I would say we have to learn to be smart to develop our potential by capitalising on our own strenghts and what we are good at, recognise own weaknesses and move on! Ability to rectify own weaknesses would be great but it is not always easy, some are even impossible.

Living a successful and fulfilling life is probably what everyone aims and desires. It is indeed a goal even though it is rather motherhood in nature (not something that a left-inclined brain person would easily appeciate). It can be very subjective however there should be a common theme of interest and concern to all. It is amazing how people are not made aware of the common theme, some can be ignorant. Conveying the message is probably of utmost urgency then, more important than ever. This is the world we live in today.
